While there is information to becoming a Transportation Service Provider online, it is not easily defined for the newcomer, which makes it difficult to navigate through the setup process. We guarantee our work. What this means is that we will fully pre-qualify you before the process begins. This reduces the risks of not being accepted as a TSP.

Qualifications
The requirements are straight forward. The department of defense does not discriminate on who gets approved. They are by-the-book in the routine of accepting freight brokers. The duty of the process is to make sure that only competent and trustworthy brokers are allowed to take part of the program. Simply put: This is an exclusive group of transportation suppliers who are the only ones who can work front-line with the military. Pass the eligibility test and you will be part of the exclusive group of TSP's. We make every attempt to be open and transparent with you so that you can make the best decision regarding moving forward as a TSP for the military.
MC Authority
You must have an active FMCSA issued freight broker authority. This authority must be at least 3 years old without any interruption in the active status of such authority. They do not make any exceptions to this policy. The reason: if your authority becomes inactive for even one day, the MC goes back to zero days in age.
US Citizen
In order to get access to and DOD issues software or military base or installation, you must be a U.S. Citizen. If you are are not a US Citizen, you be denied access as a TSP. If you have a Green Card, Visa, or Permanent Resident Card, they will reject your application. If you are a dual citizen, you may be denied access based on your dual status. In the event that you are a dual citizen, we suggest you apply and see what the results are before deciding if you should revoke your dual citizenship. We make no recommendations and are neutral in regarding this issue.
Criminal Background
The DOD has a ZERO-FELONY acceptance policy. This means that there must be NO felonies on your record EVER in order to be qualified to haul freight for the Department of Defense. If you have had a felony expunged or dismissed, it is our take that you should apply, go through the necessary background check and allow the DOD to determine the status of your application. While having misdemeanors do not necessarily reject you from being a TSP, they will review the amount and length of time since the recent one to determine if you qualify to be accepted. BE AWARE: If you have open warrants, they may reject you. These items can include, but not limited to, unpaid parking tickets, traffic violations, or child support. You are dealing with federal law enforcement who may take you into custody for open arrest warrants upon entering the base.
Bond Requirement
A military performance bond is a type of surety bond required by the Department of Defense (DoD) for certain contractors. This bond guarantees that the contractor will faithfully perform all of its contractual obligations. The bond amount is typically set at $100,000, but the exact amount may vary depending on the type of contract and the size of the contractor’s business. The bond must be held by a surety company that is authorized to do business in the United States. The bond must remain in effect for the duration of the contract and until all obligations under the contract have been fulfilled. Failure to fulfill the obligations of the contract or to maintain the bond could result in financial penalties or other legal action from the DoD. Treat you as our partner through the process.
